About Us

The Good Captain Co is John Hoadley and his Wife Lindsey. John has been diving the California Coast his entire life and has been a commercial sea urchin diver in Santa Barbara for 14 of those years. The couple bought in to the Santa Barbara Spiny Lobster fishery in 2019, 2 months after they welcomed their 2nd daughter Echo Oceane into the world. This is a true family business that provides sea urchins, lobster, sea cucumber, crab, whelks, and seasonal fish fresh out of the ocean for locals and restaurants in Santa Barbara and surrounding areas.
